Brenthurst Gardens

Hallo.  I visited Brenthurst Gardens yesterday.  I am going to share a few things with you that I found interesting.  Firstly they make a point of telling you that  Miss Joan Pim was the first female landscaper in South Africa.  I like. Another thing that struck me, was that the changes made to the rose garden and other areas was made for water wise reasons.  Makes you wonder about the past?  The one thing that I liked the most (appart from the malbury juice) was the fact that every section of the garden is set around a waterfeature or a statue.  And the story of the statue.  They all have names.  This is the way every garden should be.  We don't all need 5 meter bronze statues, but a  piece of wood or something of interest can do the trick too.  I must commend the family on supporting local artists.  Another highlight was the tea from a Lindsay Scott porcelin cup!  The Ardmore teapot was great too.
